If you want to make real change in your world, take your monkey for a walk
We are living in the most amazing times. Life, as we know it has been forever changed. Our livelihoods, our way of life, has all been put on hold, for some, permanently. It’s like we’re animals in a zoo and the zoo keeper has put us on an extended time out and we’re sitting home, trying to be good beasts of burden, waiting to be released from captivity and granted permission to sub-exist according to a new protocol for being. All to which I say, Bullshit!
Right now IS the most amazing time of our lives — but for very different reasons. This giant “time out” has opened the doors to great opportunity… if you allow it. A reaction that creates resistance to the natural flow of energy and opportunity.
What if, instead of retracting, creating more resistance, you expanded? What if instead of having this monkey ride your back like a two-bit cowboy, you took your monkey for a walk?
Who’s in charge here, anyway? What if instead of fearing what was next, you embraced the opportunity to create it? What if instead of waiting for the zookeeper to give you back the keys to your life, you broke down the damned door and created a whole new life? What if you lead by example instead of followed by
What if everything you’ve ever dreamed of doing, you actually went for? What if you stepped out of your fear and into a whole new brilliantly exciting reality?
What if you took your monkey for a walk, drop kicked it off a cliff and never looked back? THAT is what this time is about, if you choose it.
